Ariana's Controversial Tweets After Mac Miller Lost To Cardi B Set Twitter On Fire

Did you get around to watching the Grammys this year?

They were pretty much exactly what you would have expected. Some good music, some mediocre music, some very meme-worthy moments and of course, plenty of drama.

You may have heard about Ariana's tweets that set the internet on fire during the Grammys.

And if you haven't, well, here's the 411.

As we know, Mac Miller's album, Swimming, was posthumously nominated for Best Rap Album.

However, Cardi B's Invasion of Privacy album ended up winning that evening.

Let's also take a moment to say Cardi became the first ever female solo artist to win the award!

On top of that, it was Cardi's first Grammy win ever!

However, not everyone was as thrilled about Cardi's win. Ariana Grande was quick to tweet her thoughts on the whole situation.

And let's just say, girl was not celebrating Cardi's win.

Her other two tweets were just colorful expletives that I can't share screengrabs of, so use your imagination.

In classic Ariana style, she deleted all her tweets.

But screenshots are forever.

People on Twitter took her tweets as shading Cardi B and her big win, but that wasn't the case.

Ariana was just upset that Mac didn't win, because the Grammys had invited Mac's mom and dad to the show.

And she makes a fair point.

Ariana's concern was with the Grammys extending the invitation, flying his parents out to the show, and then not giving the award to Mac.

And while I understand her concern, I can see both sides.

While Ariana didn't attend the show due to "creative differences," she was planning on wearing a custom Zac Posen gown.

Many fans have began speculating the dress itself was a tribute to Mac.

Mac wrote a song about Ariana titled "Cinderella" and if you look at Ari's dress..IT'S VERY CINDERELLA LIKE.

On her latest album, Ariana wrote a song called "ghostin" about her relationship with Mac, leaving fans even more emotional.

Here's Ari with Mac's dog Myron, apologizing for her emotional outburst.

Who could really blame her?

And while we're sympathetic to Ari's emotions, It's a good thing she didn't come for Cardi.

Because all know that Cardi doesn't tolerate anyone coming after her.

Later that evening, Cardi shared this screenshot to her Instagram.

She captioned it, "WE WON A [expleteive] GRAMMY," to which Ariana replied with a bunch of heart emojis.

Thankfully, it seems the two are on good terms.

I'm sure Cardi understands the point Ari was trying to make with her series of now deleted tweets.

It would have been nice for Mac's family to see him win a Grammy.

However, Cardi clearly worked hard on her album, and we're happy that she got the attention it deserved!
