Olive Garden Breadstick Bouquets Are The Valentine's Day Gift People Really Want

Flowers are wonderful. They smell lovely, they brighten any space, and they are the perfect way to show someone that you care.

Flowers are also a bit of a cliché. These days, people want their SOs to show a little creativity.

Bonus points can be awarded if the flower replacement is delicious.

Flowers wilt and fade, but sharing an edible bouquet with your loved one is an experience.

And the options are endless. From twisting bacon into roses, to cake pops, to chicken nuggets; if you can eat it, you can probably make a bouquet out of it.

Of course, many brands are getting in on the game, with Olive Garden as the latest to join the craze.

They're doing things a little differently, though.

Most brands that have jumped on this bandwagon will sell a special bouquet product, often at a special (inflated) price.

But Olive Garden decided that showing you care shouldn't cost more than plain old breadsticks.

If you just scoffed at the idea of being cheap on Valentine's Day, it's the thought that counts. Not everyone can afford a fancy gift and they shouldn't have to.

Making a breadstick bouquet is super simple too.

All you need is a printer to make the wrapper and a nearby Olive Garden.

They've made six cute Valentine's designs to choose from and they're all free to download and print.

Just buy an order of breadsticks and wrap the printed design around them. Done!

Of course, Olive Garden has a bigger Valentine's Day option, the Valentine's Day To-Go Dinner For Two.

Starting at $35.99, you get breadsticks and a choice of soup or salad to start. Then an entree and dessert to share.

My favorite wrapper design is the passive aggressive request to share.

Since it takes a mountain of willpower for me to not fill up on breadsticks before my actual meal arrives, anyone gifting this to me may want to make two bouquets.

Mostly because I don't intend to share my breadsticks.

Nothing says "I love you" like a fistful of carbs.

This is why I could never do a low-carb or gluten-free diet. Bread is my second favorite food group behind cheese.

Put cheese on the bread and I am in heaven.

If you think this is a fun idea, Olive Garden has made it super easy to get the wrapper designs.

They're free to download and you can print out as many as you'd like. Just click this link to go get them.
