No cause of death has been announced yet, but many have speculated that the star may have died due to a suicide -- though this is just an assumption. St. John had posted about grief and the loss of a loved one following the suicide of his son. The actor also dealt with a wrongful death lawsuit stemming from the death, pointing fingers at the mental health facility where Julian St. John had been at the time of his death.

'Young &The Restless' Goodbye

The Young And The Restless also put together a tribute on Friday's show that seemed to leave fans wanting more, but likely won't be the last tribute for the late actor according to USA Today:

"It feels like a real accomplishment," St. John said. "I've been a part of something that will somehow be in a time capsule... and I'm part of that? Yeah, I'm one of the brothas on 'The Young and the Restless,' I'm one of the sons. I'm one of the family members. I was there. Yeah, man, Neil Winters was an integral part."

After a brief montage of St. John's time on the show, the actor returned to the screen.

"Thank you for sharing in this adventure," he said, "this mighty ship that has sailed for so long. I love you."
