KFC Announces A Scented Candle That Smells Just Like Their Gravy

I think if I could have my home smell like anything all the time, I would want it to be fresh baked bread. There's just something soothing about it, and I don't think I'm alone in that.

Would I get tired of it? Maybe, I don't know. I guess it happens, right? But I'd be willing to give it a try. Better than coming home to the scent of litter boxes every day! And gravy would probably be the next best thing.

It's always refreshing when brands don't take themselves too seriously, and KFC has to be one of the more fun ones around.

Whether you double-fist your double-downs or avoid even smelling their deep fryer lest the oil particles in the air somehow clog your arteries, you have to admit, the Colonel has fun.

Remember when someone on Twitter noticed that the KFC account followed 11 people, five of them spice girls and six guys named Herb?

And then they gifted the guy a tastefully done portrait of him getting a piggy-back ride from Colonel Sanders through an idyllic mountain landscape? Good times. Good branding.

They've also thrown themselves into some particularly silly products.

KFC

The "Bucket Bjorn" is only the tip of the drumstick. They've had a dreamy Colonel Sanders pillow, a fancy fried chicken pocket square, and even a KFC Zinger sandwich carved from a meteorite that would only set you back $20,000.

Well, now you can fill your home with the singularly tantalizing scent of KFC as often as you want.

KFC

Specifically, KFC's famous gravy. Just the thing to cover up the fact that you need to clean your oven, or to drive your dogs crazy.

Sadly, the gravy candle is only available in the U.K.

And there are only 230 of them available. And you have to enter a draw to even have a chance of getting one.

KFC has been teasing its devoted customers with other scents in the past as well.

In 2016, KFC New Zealand released a fried chicken-scented candle, but only made 25 of them.

And the next year, KFC Japan offered a fried chicken-scented bath bomb for anyone who wanted to bathe in their secret recipe.

And in America, some lucky folks got to spend a winter's evening relaxing in front of a roaring KFC firelog.

The 11 Herbs & Spices Firelog, again scented with fried chicken, was another limited edition stroke of genius that sold out in a matter of hours after it launched.

If you want to tantalize your other senses with everything KFC, there are other options, too.

For example, you can meditate to the sounds of chicken frying, gravy sizzling, or "falling fries" on KFChill. The recordings last up to a full hour, so, yeah.
