Okay, I'm going to be upfront about this: I'm not the sort of person who typically finds kids cute. I mean, when they're being cute I can recognize it and appreciate it, but I'm generally not the sort to coo and aww over them.
So you can believe me when I say that this vid of a baby and her mama is absolutely, heart-meltingly adorable.
It goes beyond just having our eyes or our hair. They'll try on our clothes, and repeat our words, and assume our postures. It can be downright eerie — or ridiculously adorable.
It's a scene many of us have created, I'm sure. The baby, Gemma Kate, is in her mama Michelle's arms and they're having a little couch cuddle together.
But she does so in a high, sing-song voice that's immediately catchy: "I love yooooooouuuuu!" Totally the sort of thing mothers typically do with their little ones.
And she comes up with one: "Aya ouuuuuuu!" she sings back, mimicking her mama's voice and coming impressively close to matching her pitch.
Gemma Kate is clearly a fast learner, too, because she's much quicker to sing back the second time around.
It is exactly the sort of thing that will break down your emotional walls and burst into your heart like a 10 megaton love bomb.
