Costco Has 27-Pound Buckets Of Mac And Cheese For Sale So You'll Never Run Out

Alongside its surprisingly cheap in-house dining and its famously generous return policy, Costco's biggest identifying feature is the staggering volume of what you can buy there.

While other stores might sell you Nutella in 30-ounce jars, Costco can give it to you in seven-pound tubs if that's what you're looking for. If you are, I won't ask why.

But even that gargantuan haul isn't as massive as the drums they can sell their macaroni and cheese in. Hold on to your hats, folks.

For some of us, the bewitching siren's call of mac and cheese is so strong that it feels like we can never get enough.

But even the most adventurous of eaters would have to admit defeat if they tried to take on this massive bucket of the cheesy little elbows.

Weighing in at 26 pounds and 10 ounces, the bucket contains more than enough mac and cheese to suit anybody's needs.

More specifically, Costco's website said that it holds 180 servings of elbow pasta and 180 servings of the cheddar cheese sauce.

Fortunately, you won't have to look for an entire army to feed if one of these buckets ends up in your possession.

In fact, it's not even a stretch to say that you should have more than enough time to finish the whole bucket no matter how hungry you tend to be.

And no, I'm not suggesting that you need to find a way to incorporate mac and cheese into every meal with recipes like this monster burger.

According to Costco's website, the contents of each bucket have a shelf life of 20 years, provided you keep it in a cool, dry place.

So while the $90 price tag per bucket may seem steep at first, that cost starts to look a lot more reasonable when you figure out how long your supply will last.

If the bucket takes you a decade to finish (which is entirely possible), that means the cost adds up to about $9 spent on mac and cheese a year.

And in case anybody was worried, the mac and cheese is neither pre-cooked nor mashed together.

The website says the pasta and the sauces are stored in separate pouches.

Because no matter how much we like mac and cheese, nobody wants to end up eating increasingly ancient leftovers.

So if you've always had a big plan that needed six gallons of mac and cheese, you've finally found your answer.

So enjoy and try not to go so hard on it that you end up getting tired of mac and cheese. Remember, if you've got a whole 20 years to pace yourself.
