Texas Man 'Freaked Out' After Finding Three Dozen Rattlesnakes Under His Cabin

There are absolutely times in life when it's good and proper to freak out. Usually you think of big milestone moments, like when you graduate, get a job, or finish paying your student loans off.

But sometimes it's less positive, but that's still okay. Take, for example, finding three dozen rattlesnakes living underneath your cabin. Totally legit reason to freak out. Even for a Texan.

Bobby Cowan, his wife Jessica, and two of their friends were out working on their Texas ranch one day when a small rattlesnake caught their eye.

They watched as it slithered underneath an old, abandoned hunting cabin on the property and decided to try to get a closer look. To get a proper look, they brought out a skid loader to lift up the shed.

Just imagine their surprise when they saw all of that little snake's bigger friends and family — at least three dozen of them.

Right out of an Indiana Jones flick, there was no doubt that they were all venomous rattlers, and they were packed in there tightly, with some even hanging from the floorboards. Bobby thought there might be as many as 50 under there.

"We were definitely — what's the right word — freaked out, maybe," Bobby told the San Antonio Express-News.

"As soon as we lifted up the building, we slammed it right back down because there were so many of them," he said. Nevertheless, they lifted the cabin up again and this time Bobby took a video that he posted to Facebook, which has since been viewed millions of times.

So what do you do with a slithering mass of venomous nopes? Bobby and his friends bravely set to work moving them.

He said they used long sticks and garbage cans to relocate the rattlers, which thankfully were moving slowly due to cold temperatures. "We knew we weren't in that much danger if we didn't get too close," he said.

Still, that's a big nope from me.
