Nurses Teamed Up To Knit Ugly Christmas Sweaters For Newborns

Everybody loves an ugly Christmas sweater. They're quirky in all the right ways. But what's even better than an ugly Christmas sweater, is an ugly Christmas sweater on a newborn baby. Literally does not get much cuter than that.

Thanks to the nurses at Magee-Womens Hospital, a few lucky newborns are going home sporting the latest in ugly-holiday fashion.

The nurses at Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh really got into the holiday spirit this year.

With a hospital Christmas party on the horizon, they decided to do the sweetest, and most festive deed imaginable.

It's pretty hard to make something ugly for something so cute.

Caitlin Peachin, a nurse who works in the hospital said: “I tried to make ugly Christmas sweaters for the babies, but I actually think they turned out pretty cute," she told CBS Pittsburgh.

Each sweater was completely unique.

“My top three favorite sweaters were the Christmas tree, my second favorite was the snowman, and then my absolute favorite was the penguin, it just turned out so cute.”

The babies and their families all got to meet Mr. and Mrs. Clause.

Most babies don't get to meet Santa Clause until they're a bit older. But these lucky babies showed up at the perfect time!

These nurses definitely made Santa's "nice list" this year.

After selflessly putting together these adorable Christmas sweaters, there's no way any of these ladies are going to wake up with coal in their stockings.

I really wish I looked this cute in an ugly Christmas sweater.

Sadly, on me, ugly Christmas sweaters are just that; ugly.

But these babies are rocking the look!

The sign couldn't be more accurate.

The hospital also decorated the nursery with Christmas decorations, and a sign that read, “UglySweaters, Cute Babies.”

On top of all the sweaters, parents could also swing by the gift shop and pick up a matching onesie.

Just another thing that babies can pull off, and I can't!

Love it.

Have you ever seen anything or anyone look so cozy?

I know I haven't. Do you think it's too much to ask if I request an adult-size one of these?

It's never too early to kick off your modelling debut.

I have never seen a cuter holiday ensemble, or balled up fist in my life.

That hat is everything!

Just incase you haven't seen enough sweetness so far, here's another one to make your heart melt.

I don't know what's cuter, the penguin or the baby.

Definitely the baby.

Here's one last baby making an ugly sweater cute, and spreading some holiday cheer.

This has really been an overload of cuteness, way more than I can handle.

The reviews were great.
