The Magic Of The Holidays Just Got Darker With Black Christmas Trees

A real Christmas tree may not last long after the holidays, but an artificial one has a lot of good years ahead of it. For instance, I wouldn't be surprised if the one in my parents' house is older than me.

However, not even metal Christmas trees last forever. And while there's nothing wrong with sticking with the traditional green to replace one, there are a lot more options at your disposal.

And lately, a popular choice for this festive decoration is the intriguing, mysterious black tree.

No matter how many tree options there are, none of them have unseated good old green as the number one choice.

At least, that's what Christmas tree manufacturer Treetopia found when they looked into which color was selling the best in every state.

And for most of the country, the second-most popular choice seems to be either white or silver trees.

However, black Christmas trees are becoming something of a dark horse as folks in five different states are choosing them when they get tired of green.

If you live in Arizona, Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, or Wisconsin, these trees might not be such an uncommon sight for you.

They're certainly eye-catching for the rest of us, though.

So whether Christmas isn't really your favorite or the other colors just don't fit your aesthetic, you don't have to break out the paint to get a black tree.

For instance, these Gothic decorations are pretty cool looking, but a nightmare before Christmas might feel a little more complete with a duskier tree.

Plus, they come in different sizes so your Christmas can be dark and mysterious no matter how much space you have to work with.

I'm sorry to say that this friendly and not-at-all terrifying face-hugger won't be included, though. Maybe put that on the wish list.
