12+ Muggles Living Our Wildest 'Harry Potter' Dreams

I love the Harry Potter universe, but honestly, I don't even think I can call myself a fan. Why? Harry Potter fans are extreme to say the least and I'm a little jelly of them, but it looks exhausting...and expensive.

So, they're living my HP dreams and I'm just waiting for the movies to get to Netflix.

1. If you're going to dress up as a character, you have to go all-in.

Normally I'm not into pink tweed, but man, this is the best Luna costume that I've ever seen. I know The Quibbler is just a prop but I really, really want it to be real.

2. Imagine being a muggle, but also getting to LIVE in the magic?! Because I cannot.

We all know these two, hi Eddie and Jude. Now imagine being a Harry Potter fan and then getting to do fun stuff like this, BUT ALSO BE IN THE MOVIES? The literal dream. I would have been an unseen extra, I swear.

3. A whole house of muggles who take a "Harry Potter" decorating theme very, very Sirius-ly.

Which I am nothing but impressed by. This house in Austin lets folks visit and take photos and everything. And it's certainly a lot of work, because muggles actually have to do the work instead of casting a spell.

4. Such a simple decoration, and yet we all know it's the best out there.

I have never been more excited to see a balloon in action, and that says a lot because I love balloons.

5. And here they are, in all their beautiful floating Aunt Marge glory.

I didn't care for her (who did?), but I am in love with these balloons. So much so that I wish I could have one made of me. What, too extreme?

6. Not entirely sure that he IS a muggle based on this little accomplishment.

Toby, who is just 10, read the entire Harry Potter and the Cursed Child script in 59 minutes. Speed reading, skim reading, whichever — that's impressive.

This would be me cheering him on.

But also trying not to distract him from breezing through the book so quickly.

I would just want to show some support, you know?

7. Now I'm not about to say I want to catch pneumonia, but I admire the commitment here.

Katie camped outside in London, U.K. for a week before the final movie premiere. Not fully planned, just a backpack with a few things to keep her going. Seeing a HP premiere in London is amazing, though.

I mean, I guess in the end she got what she wanted.

But it sounds like it was certainly a rough few days to make it happen.

8. Maybe the most painful way to show your love...

Tattoo lover here, and that would hurt a heck ton. But the details are so gorgeous that it looks like Dumbledore is about to speak to you in riddles, and that's the point, right?

I've seen a lot of Harry Potter tattoos, but this one kinda takes the cake.

Not that they're not all amazing, but I'm a sucker for that arriving-at-Hogwarts scene, and that tattoo does it such beautiful justice.

9. When you want to show your love for both Harry and your other half.

Harry Potter weddings are nothing short of magical, but this couple's cake is the perfect amount of magic. Like, almost too pretty to eat...almost.

They also had a theme for every single table, with the quidditch one being my personal fave.

Reddit | kieuthenerd

This isn't just the Harry Potter dream, but it's the wedding dream too, so naturally I'm adding this to my Pinterest board ASAP.

And here I thought that a perfect wedding couldn't exist.

Scratch that, I thought that a perfect wedding with a dash of Harry Potter couldn't exist. I was wrong.

10. She went from being a fan who used the books to get through an eating disorder to playing the most beloved quirky Luna Lovegood.

ET

Evanna Lynch has revealed how she wrote letters with J.K. Rowling that helped her realize that she wanted to get better.

I think J.K. Rowling has helped a lot of people, whether she knows it or not.

But it makes my heart happy to hear that writing letters led to Evanna playing Luna, who is, arguably, one of the most interesting characters in the books and movies.

11. Brb, going to ask my landlord if I can attempt this.

The Awesome Daily

Even though I would never be able to pull this off half as well. Like, I would get through the first line and give up, 100%.

12. And then there's THE biggest "Harry Potter" fan out there.

Now, he claims this himself and has won a few things... Steve has spent more than $13,000 on clothes, wands, posters, mugs, books, basically anything and everything Harry Potter-related he could find.

His home is a shrine to all things "Harry Potter", AND he has J.K. Rowling's autograph tattooed!

The dedication is real with this one, so I think it's safe to say he'll be a Potterhead forever...or should I say, always.

13. Whoever did this edit is just making my heart swell.

Facebook | MuggleNet.com

I want it to be true so very badly, and I think I'll have to go home and make the same edit to my own Deathly Hollows copy.

I wish I had the magic to make this real.

Because as far as deaths go, I think Hedwig's was the worst for me. Which says a lot, and I'm sorry if this is a spoiler, but, like, it's been years.

14. A brilliant muggle is behind maybe the most perfect proposal for a Potterhead.

Call me crazy, but did your heart just break a little bit at the idea of this book being cut up?

I know it's done in love and everything is okay, but yeah, my heart dropped.

And surely they would still keep the book forever, BUT think of all those pages that were sacrificed!

Honestly, after reading all these, I don't know if I can say I'm a true "Harry Potter" fan.

Well okay, I am.

But I sure need to step it up if I want to join the ranks of these muggles.
