18+ Weird Things People Did Surprisingly Well

If you don't have a weird talent yourself, you probably know someone who does. Or maybe it's a hobby, an interest, anything obscure that you wouldn't expect.

This list celebrates those people, the ones who celebrate their out-of-the-box creations and show them to the world.

"A hotdog my friend encased in glass roughly 9 years ago."

I feel like the device made to hold the hotdog didn't need to be this complex, but I appreciate the flourish.

"A taxi I saw in London years ago."

Have you ever wanted to have a loud arrival to an event but couldn't afford a limo? This taxi has you covered.

"My redneck grandpa's four-wheeler."

Quite possibly the exact opposite to the previous image. Well, it's still loud, but in a very different way.

"The Never-ending Fence is 8 years in the making - made using still live willow saplings."

Alright, this one is actually cool. The perfect fence for a fairy-cottage-looking house.

"This [long] Furby someone at my work made."

I've, surprisingly, seen a lot of variations of the long Furby. They're always unsettling. It never gets better.

"[Jenga] block suspension bridge [I] made."

Perfect for flexing your engineering skills to all the local Lego man drivers.

"This brick car."

I've never wanted to be hit by a car but I especially don't want to be hit by this one.

"[Parted] my cat’s hair [...]."

What's most impressive here is the fact that your cat let you do this to them.

"I passed 'The nut mobile' today while driving."

The most famous vehicle featured on this list but still shockingly impressive every time.

"My 9 year old daughter bedazzled our remote. It's very pretty but quite challenging to find the button you need."

Don't you even think of removing those rhinestones either. Your relationship with your daughter hinges on this.

"My girlfriend made me a giant Jammy Dodger."

Now I've never had a Jammy Dodger but I do think they have the funniest name out of any cookie, so this is still great to me!

"My buddy is the proud owner of this 'footstool.'"

Proud? He's...proud of this? Well. Someone has to be, I guess.

"My girlfriend made this ashtray out of plastic babies and I don’t know how to feel about it."

You know the saying 'packed like a can of sardines'? How do we feel about a revision, 'packed like an ashtray made of babies?'

"This monstrosity that rides around my town."

Monstrous? Yes. A road hazard? Probably. Impressive, though? Absolutely.

"The choice of clothing this guy have while snowboarding."

Jokes on you, when an ice dragon attacks the ski hill, he's the only one wearing chainmail to protect himself from any icy projectiles.

"My mom made a Crown Royal quilt."

This actually looks amazing. And it made me realize Crown Royal bags come in different shades of purple. Not what I expected to learn today, but I'll take it.

"There's nothing more functional and aesthetic like an old stand mixer lamp."

The fact that there's a picture diagram included is what really makes it special because surely no one could figure out what the hell this is without it.

"This snow leg my sister sculpted."

Not sure if it's less or more unsettling that she sculpted just the leg and not the whole person.

"Match your outfit to the store."

I really hope he has an outfit for every store he goes to. Walmart pants, Target shoes, a Dollar Tree hat!

"I didn't realize my shirt needed cuff links until after I put it on. Paperclips and Breathsavers saved the day."

Forget to brush your teeth before you leave? No need to fear, just eat a cufflink and you'll be good to go!
