Gwen Stefani Rejects Blake Shelton On Their First Date In Hilarious Super Bowl Ad

You know what they say — opposites attract!

As much as we all love Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani together and think they are just the cutest couple in the world, sometimes we do wonder how exactly these polar opposites got together in the first place. A hilarious Super Bowl ad for T Mobile seems to have the answer for us!

We all know that the best part of the Super Bowl is the commercials.

Okay, fine, maybe the game is fun to watch, and the half time show can be pretty cool, but every year, I always tune in mostly for the commercials. They're funny, they're moving, they're exciting, and sometimes they even contain unknown information about celebrity couples!

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are one of our favorite celebrity couples.

While they might seem like polar opposites on the surface, with Gwen being the queen of '90s edgy pop rock and Blake being an old-fashioned country boy, it turns out that they make a great pair together!

The two began dating in 2015 while both were judges on *The Voice.*

They were both going through divorces at the time, and it's pretty clear that going through that experience together brought them closer than ever!

The two have even released music together, and they sound amazing!

They even recently got engaged!

We could barely contain our happiness when Gwen and Blake announced in late October of last year that they had gotten engaged, and I don't know about you, but I can't WAIT for their wedding! It'll be like the royal wedding, but for fans of The Voice.

We love Blake and Gwen's relationship — but how *exactly* did it all start?

A new commercial for T Mobile that aired during the Super Bowl seemed to suggest that it all came down to their fellow The Voice judge, Adam Levine.

In the ad, Gwen is complaining about her love life to Adam over FaceTime, which is something we have ALL put our closest friends through.

Gwen says she's "sick of LA guys” and wants "someone completely different."

"Maybe from another country, somebody cultured and sensitive, who’s not threatened by a strong, confident woman," Gwen lists. Sounds good to me!

Unfortunately, Adam has bad cell reception, and what he hears Gwen say she's looking for is a little bit different.

"I want somebody country, uncultured and who’s threatened by a strong confident woman," Adam hears on his end.

"I've got your guy," Adam tells her in the ad as Blake joins him at his table bringing wings and nachos.

When Gwen and Blake show up for their first date, Gwen immediately replies, "Oh my God, hilarious, like no."

“Are you wearing spurs? Did you ride a horse here?” Gwen asks him, and obviously, the answer is yes.

Luckily, it all seemed to work out for Gwen and Blake!

You can watch the hilarious ad right here. Honestly, I wouldn't be too surprised if their first date really did go down almost exactly like this!

Fans took to social media to discuss the commercial.

Some fans pointed out that, technically, the ad doesn't quite convey the message they want. "They're married... it would've worked a lot better if they used a couple who were actually divorced (but on good terms) to prove their point that you shouldn't trust your love life to any network," replied one fan.

Others simply loved it!

"This was the best commercial for all of the Superbowl!!" one fan wrote.

"Best commercial by far!!!!! We all agreed here that this was the first one we have even liked and we all loved it!!!!!!!" another added.
