10+ Celebrities Who Stay Away From Alcohol

While many of us love to sip on a cocktail on the weekend, there are many celebs who choose to abstain from drinking alcohol all together.

This means passing up on expensive champagne at luxurious events and glamorous parties.

But the reward for them is so much sweeter: sobriety.

Here are 10+ celebs who stay away from alcohol.

Elton John

After losing many friends during the ‘80s AIDS epidemic, Elton John decided to change the “monster” he felt he had become from drugs and alcohol.

Meeting the HIV/AIDS poster child, Ryan White, was a turning point for him. “Within six months I became sober, and clean, and have been for the last 27 years,” he told The Fix.

“If I had continued it, I was really going to sabotage my whole life,” he told GQ.

Brad Pitt

When the actor split from Angelina Jolie in 2016, he admitted that drinking was partly to blame. "I was boozing too much. It's just become a problem,” he told GQ Style.

After their divorce, he sought help for his excessive drinking and has remained sober ever since.

Kim Kardashian

The reality TV star may have been on the party scene in the early ‘00s, but she’s never been a party girl.

Ever since the Pretty Little Liars actress joined Hollywood at a young age, she felt the pressure to drink and be a “social butterfly”.

“I'm in the peak physical condition. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke,” the actor and comedian once told GQ.

He’s maintained that lifestyle choice to this day.

While Eminem has never been a conventional rapper, he did partake in the partying aspect of fame in the early days of his career. This led him to drink and even do drugs frequently on tour.

Jim Carey
