Jamie Lee Curtis Celebrates 22 Years Of Sobriety

Jamie Lee Curtis is one of the best celebrities in Hollywood. Not only is she an outstanding actress, but she's an amazing person. She is one of the few people who deserve all the praise and money Hollywood fame grants them.

Her vulnerability and honesty are what have kept Jamie Lee in the hearts and minds of fans for over four decades.

Now, Jamie Lee is celebrating her sobriety anniversary and fans couldn't be more proud of the 62-year-old.

Jamie Lee Curtis is a celebrity that multiple generations grew up with. How cool is that?! I mean, I guess it makes sense since the actress has been in the biz since the late '70s!

Fans will know her film debut was in John Carpenter's 1978 classic Halloween! This film cemented Jamie's permanent place in scary movie culture forever!

Seriously, you can't flick through the channels in October without seeing Halloween on at least 10 times a day!

Jamie would go on to star in several more *Halloween* films when I think they should have just stopped — but maybe that's just me!

She also was featured in cult classic films like A Fish Called Wanda, Mother's Boys, Virus, My Girl, and Fierce Creatures!

More recently, the 62-year-old starred in the blockbuster hit Knives Out, with essentially half of Hollywood's heavy-weight actors.

However, Jamie Lee's success has not affected her ability to be humble.

Fans saw this vulnerability when the actress shared that she was celebrating her 22nd sobriety anniversary.

It's not easy to talk about addiction, especially as a celebrity, which is why it's so amazing that Jamie Lee shared this milestone with fans.

Posting an old photo of herself on Instagram, she wrote:

"A LONG time ago… In a galaxy far, far away… I was a young STAR at WAR with herself. I didn't know it then. I chased everything. I kept it hidden. I was a sick as my secrets. With God's grace and the support of MANY people who could relate to all the 'feelings' and a couple of sober angels...I've been able to stay sober, one day at a time, for 22 years."

She continued: "I was a high bottom, pun kind of intended, so the rare photo of me proudly drinking in a photo op is very useful to help me remember."

"To all those struggling and those who are on the path…MY HAND IN YOURS," she concluded.

What an amazing, inspirational message to those who need it most. Way to go, Jamie!
