16+ People Who ‘Fixed’ Things For The Better

There are a lot of things that could do with a bit of a fix-up around this planet, and there are some ingenious people out there who like to spend their spare time tuning up the things that they think need a little improvement.

So, from people finding better homemade alternatives to much-loved brands, to people building glasses out of teeth, here are 13+ people who "fixed" things for the better!

"The brand who shall not be named..."

I don't remember the Harry Potter book where they hunted down the last horcrux which was an off-brand Louis Vuitton jacket, but I'd love to check it out!

On Second Thought...

One big house nerd added, "Historical building status protects the original sign, but occupancy standards changed to reflect new data. That's why." Thank God for house nerds everywhere!

"Life-sized Barbie car?"

Oh, on second thought, I would much rather have read the Harry Potter story in which Voldemort was riding around in this as his last horcrux! Just him and the death eaters blasting Alanis Morissette on their way to get a smoothie at the wizard mall.

"No phone holder, no problem!"

Just make sure that you wash your flip-flops before you try this, no one likes their phone smelling of feet! Well, weirdos probably do but that's beside the point.

"I built a solar-powered paddlewheel for my canoe."

Look, it is lazy as hell, no one is denying that fact, but I kind of love this the more I look at it — and it's economically friendly as well, winner!

"Ain't broke till it's on fire."

Now I cannot get the image of a guy riding this along while screaming as it is engulfed in flames out of my head. It's a pretty cool, but short lived, image.

"For what reason?"

Apparently this is more of a common thing than people may think, as someone added, "I've seen glass blowers do this because the cob doesn't transfer any heat."

"Classic pool mistake!"

Jesus and the Mary Chain, what has to be going on in your head for you to think that it is a good idea to sit in this death trap?!

"It's hot as hooves out here."

It's not even straight! I know that there are a lot of things wrong with this as a whole, but that is also annoying me incredibly.

"Cursed Knitted Face Mask!"

I've been saying for ages that we needed more knit tongues on facemasks, and it's good to see that someone is finally taking notice of me!

Camper Van Beethoven...

If you saw this driving along, would you feel comfortable driving behind it? I'd be giving that an incredibly wide berth!

"Harry Potter, but with human teeth instead of glasses."

"I like this cuddly Harry Potter toy, but I just wish that he had glasses made out of human teeth!" — said no one ever.

"Tired of normal chairs? Make a tire chair."

I am actually quite curious as to whether this would be quite comfortable, it'd need a bloody good wash before I sat on it though.

"The Ice-SkateBoard. I hope you enjoy moving only in straight lines when you're on ice."

"I reckon I could get that thing to turn!" — is what I could easily imagine being my last words on this planet before dying in the daftest way possible.

"Found this in the wild..."

This looks like something that the writers of Final Destination would look at and just start salivating!

"Beware Of Cougars."

Great, now I have Beyoncé stuck in my damn head. Except now I'm singing "All the single lay-bys" to myself.

"Found In Greene County Illinois."

I can't help but find this kind of adorable! Although, I sure as hell wouldn't want to ride it around in a thunderstorm.

"Found a chunk of old RAM in a drawer, and decided to make a pendant and earrings out of it."

I like jewelry that has the capacity to hold a load of data. They could keep an electronic photo of someone they love on that pendant. I also know that wouldn't really work, but sue me for being romantic!

"It was my [coworker's] birthday yesterday, I got her this."

Yeah, I can imagine that the catch here is that Logan never feels like covering a shift. If I know Logan, which I don't, then I know he'll never want to cover any damn shift!

"Good will...?"

Someone pointed out that all you would need to do is move one letter and make it so that they get some really weird stuff in their donations!
