10+ Times DIYers Hacked Their Home Offices With Ikea Products

If you're like me, you're well into that work from home groove. You're used to it — the Zoom meetings, the interruptions from pets (or kids), the loungewear work uniform.

You're used to it all, but are you comfortable? Does your setup work for you, or are you just getting by with what you have at home? Time to hit up Ikea and change all that, friends.

Use pegboards to create cohesive organization.

Desktops can get incredibly cluttered, let's be real. A pegboard will get those smaller objects off your desk, like pens, tools, and other little trinkets. Use the Ikea SKÃ…DIS pegboard to get your wall started!

Build your own desk with ALEX drawers.

This is a home office classic! You're going to need a LINNMON tabletop, two sets of ALEX drawers, and an adjustable support leg (if your desk is longer). I can vouch for this setup, because it's what I'm sitting at right now!

Hack this little storage unit!

This small desktop storage unit is the perfect place for small object storage. It's deep and made of raw wood, making it the perfect canvas for some creativity!

I was shocked, too! This desk is made of STUVA toy boxes and storage, and it actually works perfectly! I would work at this setup in a second. Check it out here.

Make yourself your own space with KALLAX.

No options for built in, and no office to spare? Same. Pick up a KALLAX and create a wall where you can finally get some work done in peace!

This desk folds up!

You gotta appreciate such a bright, fun color on a desk, you know? This setup folds up and tucks away for maximum storage in small spaces. Learn how here.

This desk flips away.

Murphy desks are truly god tier in terms of storage and usability. This amazing hack uses wall-mounted storage to hold it all together, and the desk tucks away to become a faux picture frame.

This amazing "T"-shaped desk is a work from home dream.

Ugh, how comfy would this be to sit at? This desk uses two different countertops from IKEA to create a "T" with lots of extra storage from ALEX drawers!

I love the use of LEDs here! This is the idea setup for someone who works, but also likes to play video games after that work is done.

This setup used an extra shelf for monitor space.

Here's how: "The speaker shelves are using metal furniture legs from Amazon (4") and the screen legs are the Capita's from IKEA (4"). I've found the wider, Amazon legs look a bit more solid/attractive than the IKEA's."

This one uses a dresser for storage!

Work with what you've got, right? All this desk needed was a countertop from IKEA, and bam! Instant work from home setup! Check it out on Reddit.

Here's an easy way to create even more storage.

Ikea's SUNNERSTA containers were designed to hang in your kitchen for tools and plants, but you can also use them in your office. You'll need to add something to your desk for these containers to hang from (this DIYer used curtain wire and some hooks and eyes). The end result is a quick and easy storage solution.

The most glamorous desk ever.
