Actor Dustin Diamond, best known for his work on Saved By The Bell, has passed away at the age of 44, TMZ reports.

Dustin was best known for portraying Screech on *Saved By The Bell.*
Dustin had recently revealed he had been diagnosed with stage four cancer after being rushed to the hospital in early January.
At the time, a representative for Dustin shared that he was "in a lot of pain."
"We can confirm that Dustin does have cancer," they told People. "It's very serious, though we are still waiting for more details, which we will have shortly."
His rep also confirmed that Dustin was "undergoing chemo."
His rep added that Dustin was expected to remain in the hospital for "at least another week and then we will figure out when he gets to come home."
TMZ is now confirming that Dustin has passed away.
A representative for Dustin confirmed the news with the outlet.
Shortly afterward, Dustin's team also released a statement confirming his death to ET.
"We are saddened to confirm [...] Dustin Diamond’s passing on Monday, February 1st, 2021 due to carcinoma," the statement reads. "He was diagnosed with this brutal, relentless form of malignant cancer only three weeks ago."
The statement continued.
"In that time, it managed to spread rapidly throughout his system; the only mercy it exhibited was its sharp and swift execution. Dustin did not suffer. He did not have to lie submerged in pain. For that, we are grateful."
Friends and fans alike are taking to social media to share their messages of love and condolence for the icon.
"Such a sad loss , aged 44, still so young. Utterly shocked at his passing, so long Screech. Thank you for the laughs sir," one fan shared.
Many fans shared fond memories they have of Dustin and the show.
"I just read about Dustin Diamond I know he had a troubled life but that doesn’t change the fact that Saved By The Bell was what I looked forward to after school. I’d run home from the bus and turn on the tv like clockwork to watch this show everyday. My condolences to his family," one fan shared.
