Gossip and rumors are the lifeblood of Hollywood. Every day celebrities face an uphill battle with the paparazzi, which can make it difficult to keep anything a secret — especially a pregnancy.

1. Beyoncé and Jay-Z

Beyoncé and Jay-Z nearly broke the internet when the pop star announced her pregnancy during a live performance at the 2011 VMAs.

After Queen Bey had concluded her set she unbuttoned her jacket, turned to the side, and began gently caressing her now noticeable baby bump.

It wasn't up until Adele was seven months pregnant that she saw fit to make her announcement to the world. Up until that time, she was still making red carpet appearances.

She and her ex Simon made the announcement via Adele's official website.
