Jessica Simpson Pokes Fun At Subway Amidst Tuna Lawsuit: 'It Is Confusing'

In today's edition of Most Random News Story Of The Day, Subway is being sued for their tuna mixture which apparently contains no tuna at all. I know, I know. Doesn't it feel like it was just yesterday that the fast-food giant was being sued over their yoga mat bread?

Well, it seems Subway is coming under fire again for ingredients, this time for their tuna salad, which allegedly contains anything but fish.

According to a recent lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Subway's tuns salad is a sham.

The star ingredient, according to the lawsuit, is "made from anything but tuna" reports The Washington Post.

Based on independent lab tests of “multiple samples” taken from Subway locations in California, the "tuna" is "a mixture of various concoctions that do not constitute tuna, yet have been blended together by defendants to imitate the appearance of tuna," according to the complaint.

It seems Subway has some *alleged* confusion about what tuna is exactly, which *obviously* strikes a chord with early aughts Princess Jessica Simpson.

Of course, I'm referring to the infamous scene from Jessica's reality show with then-husband Nick Lachey, where Jessica is confused by the tuna brand's name, Chicken of the Sea.

"Is this chicken, what I have, or is this fish? I know it’s tuna, but it says chicken . . . by the sea?" she asked.

Her straight, blonde hair. Her white, slouchy sweater. Her tiny self all curled into the couch while Nick laughs at her question.

It's all burned into my memory forever.

Now, Jessica is poking fun at herself and Subway with her latest tweet.

While replying to the TODAY show's tweet about the Subway scandal, Jessica replied: "It's OK @SUBWAY. It IS confusing."

It's called comedy, sweeties.

I couldn't be more proud of Jessica for taking all the hate from the media on the chin and poking fun at herself.
