Quotes From People Who Share Our Feelings Towards Laundry

Let me just start this by saying that I used to be some sort of insane person who actually enjoyed doing laundry.

No, seriously. I would carve out one day a week (my designated laundry day), and I would honestly delight in the smell of fabric softener, relish the feeling of hot, fresh-out-of-the-dryer towels in my hands, and feel nothing but pure satisfaction as I put away all my perfectly folded items.

Of course, now that I'm older and have more laundry to do than I can possibly keep up with, suddenly it's not so fun. And suddenly I hate my former self for ever having the gall to tell people, "I love laundry!"

If you feel the same way, I think you're really going to enjoy these quotes.

That's it, that's what it is.

It's also constantly throwing dirty clothes on top of an ever-growing mountain that's already spilling out of your too-full hamper, but still putting off actually doing any of that laundry simply because I-don't-wanna.

I wouldn't even be surprised if that's how I go at this point.

That, or maybe one day all of the laundry I've put off washing will simply get to a point where it fills up every space in my home and slowly suffocates me.

Still beats doing laundry.

If it requires more thought than "throw it in the dryer," it's too much for me.

I've resigned many complicated clothing items to the back of my closet, simply because I've realized that I'm not capable of taking care of them the way they deserve.

I'm also not too proud to admit I have one or two "dry clean only" outfits that I've worn on several occasions and which have never felt the sweet, cleansing caress of a wash cycle... or a dry cleaners.

Don't look at me like that; you know you have some, too.

This is the real test.

If it feels like you could totally see yourself using it exclusively as a drying rack for the next 15 years, while simultaneously complaining that you "are so out of shape", then you know it's the right treadmill for you.
