Ryan Reynolds Sends Inspiring Video Message To 11-Year-Old Fan Fighting Cancer

The best part of being a celebrity has to be the ability to reach out and make a huge difference in the lives of so many people so easily. Ryan Reynolds definitely knows that, as he often reaches out to fans who are suffering and helps bring some light to their days.

Ryan has done so again with a young boy fighting cancer!

We all love Ryan Reynolds.

Not only is he a talented actor, but he's also hilarious and super charming in real life, so what's not to love?

11-year-old Brody Derry definitely agrees with us. Brody is a Deadpool superfan who's been fighting stage 3B Hodgkins Lymphoma and Chron's Disease.

It turns out Ryan recorded Brody a special video message to help him with his fight, and it's so sweet.

"I just heard a little bit about your story and I just wanted to send you this video and let you know that I’m thinking about you, that I’m sending you tons of love and I’m sending you strength - whatever strength I’ve got," Ryan says in the video.

"Man, you have a ton of people in your life that love you so much."

"And I know you’ve been going through it. I know it’s been a challenge lately, but you know something Brody? You’re just the man for the job. So I’m sending you lots of love," Ryan went on.

"I hope I get to meet you in person one of these days, and hang in there," Ryan's message ended.

Brody's mother told CTV News that Brody's jaw "hit the floor" upon receiving the message, adding, "He keeps saying, 'I feel special – I feel like I'm the movie star."

What an amazing gesture that will definitely stick with Brody for a long time!
