15+ People Who Have Gotten Themselves Into Some Pretty Precarious Positions

Some people truly have a passion for risk-taking. The rush of adrenaline it provides can be damn near addicting to those who chase it.

Meanwhile, I'm content being a little scared cat and watching others do those scary, dangerous things. Join me, won't you, and check out this list of people who have gotten themselves into some pretty precarious positions.

'Not to worry, the safety straps are in place."

They're called safety straps but I've never felt less safe looking at a photo.

Teetering.

Apparently, this car was stolen and abandoned there too, which is even more baffling. Of all places to leave it, there?

"I am not in danger. I'M THE DANGER."

Oh to one day have the confidence of this cat. Fearless and bold, an icon.

"Don’t worry guys, the traffic cones will keep it from hurting anyone."

If I saw this, you wouldn't catch me within 20 miles of that plaza. I'm not risking it.

"Tape."

That van is clearly big enough to fit the washer so what's in the trunk? More garbage bags full of bottles?

"Road disappeared in a landslide, car went down just afterwards."

This looks like a shot out of a movie, a real record scratch moment.

"[Happened] a few years back, supervisor of these guys said he had done this technique for years..."

Somewhere down the line, that supervisor got tired of being a supervisor and decided to just start seeing what he could get away with.

"Throwback to my old job [...]."

I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone who works on powerlines, wind turbines, and the big tall things I'm too much of a baby to even imagine scaling.

"It's probably fine, but I've seen too many collapse to not cringe."

Whatever he's doing, surely it can be done from further away with a long sitck.

"They must have pulled this in a hurry."

Seeing as the building's still there, it all ended okay that time but let's hope no one ever needs to pull that specific alarm ever again.

"Yes this is live. I almost stuck my thumb in it."

Thankfully you decided not to, that would've hurt.

"Spotted this intellectual using a chainsaw whilst balancing on a palette [sic] on a forklift 7feet in the air at work today."

There's a lot going on here that all could have been avoided by simply using a ladder.

"Using a heated 2700psi pressure washer to clean your boots."

They say 'work smart not hard' but this isn't even smart.

"All good. She'll hold, now back to work."

They would have been better off just letting it fall. Gets rid of all the anxiety and anticipation.

"[The white truck crashed] through the guard rail on the right, flipped end over end over the culvert and landed on the other side. Could have been worse.... much worse."

Crashing your car is never lucky, but crashing your car here and not falling into that pit is extremely lucky.

"We must quickly mount the signpost pointing in the direction of the hospital."

What, were they out of forklifts and pallets?

"I am a garbage man and look what a customer thought was okay to throw in. Yes I know what it is and how dangerous it is!"

This one clearly isn't the garbage man's fault but this was still a pretty precarious spot to be in.

If you don't know, that's a military-grade flare.

"Last night in Seoul, South Korea it snowed pretty hard and an empty bus had troubles going uphill. Pedestrians near by immediately ran and assisted the bus driver."

It was very sweet of them to help but you can rarely catch me behind the wheel of my car when it snows, let alone behind every wheel of a bus.

"I can almost reach it!"

Ah, the ever-faithful stack of not-quite-ladders. A classic.

"Meanwhile in Russia."

Honestly, a bucket seems like it'd be pretty solid holding-wise. I'm more concerned about the swinging.
