Millie Bobby Brown Breaks Down In Tears Detailing 'Uncomfortable' Fan Encounter

If anyone understands the drawbacks to fame at a young age, it's Millie Bobby Brown.

The star made her Hollywood debut at 12 for the first season of Netflix's Stranger Things.

Since then, she's dealt with a lot of things that most people her age don't encounter Like how she was recently harassed by a fan while out Christmas shopping.

If, for some reason, you don't know who Millie Bobby Brown is, we'll quickly clear that up for you.

She is an AMAZING actress who is the star of Stranger Things and Enola Holmes.

Her acting is seriously out of this world. If you haven't seen any of her movies or shows, make sure you check them out IMMEDIATELY.

Though she is a huge star, she is a young one. And unfortunately, she has already dealt with her fair share of fans harassing her.

For starters, her friendship with rapper Drake was put under a microscope due to their age gap.

It was at the 2018 Emmys red carpet that the Enola Holmes star first dished about their unlikely friendship.

"He’s a great friend and a great role model,” she told *Access*.

"We just texted each other the other day," she said. "He was like, ‘I miss you so much,’ I was like, ‘I miss you more.'"

She even said that he gives her boy advice! (Billie Eilish developed a similar bond with the rapper).

But since Drake is 34 and Millie is 16, their friendship quickly sparked backlash.

This caused the star to take to Instagram to call out those who were making things weird.

"Why u gotta make a lovely friendship ur headline?" she wrote, adding that Drake is supporting her career.

She also dealt with her fair share of trolls when she launched her own skincare line, Florence.

While promoting the line on social media back in September 2019, she faced a major misstep.

That's because she uploaded a video of herself using the products without actually using them.

This made the whole thing incredibly awkward, especially when she pretended to "lather" up her hands with the face wash.

Whenever she would say, "Okay so I just wiped that off," the product would still be on her face... This soon led to all sorts of comments from baffled fans.

"I’m in tears Millie Bobby Brown did a skincare demo using her brands products WITHOUT ACTUALLY USING THEM LOOOOOOL," someone wrote.

Some compared the mishap to when Kylie Jenner washed her face with her skincare products too quickly.

This caused her foundation to be all over her towel when she wiped it off.

Regardless of these missteps, the 16-year-old is still a human being at the end of the day.

One who deserves respect, understanding, and every right to not have her personal boundaries crossed.

Sadly, she wasn't given the benefit of all three recently when she went out Christmas shopping with her mom.

In an Instagram story clip, the actress tearfully broke down about a harassing encounter she had with a fan.

She began by saying that a girl approached her, confirmed that it was really her, and then asked if she could take a video of her. To this, Brown declined.

"Why would anyone want to be taken a video of?" Millie asked on her video. "Of me, you know? It's not like the both of us. Of me."

"I don't need to justify it to anyone," Brown added. "If I don't want to be taken a video of, I don't have to be."

She went on to share how the girl continued to disrespect her boundaries by filming her even though she had declined.

"I was paying and she walked past me and began to video me again," Brown tearfully explained. "And I said, 'I'm a human being. Like, what more can I ask from you?'"

The fan then got upset and said, "So I can't take a video of a human being?" To this, Brown replied, "No, not when I said no."

Bobby ended her video by urging her followers to treat others with respect.

"You have to show more respect for others, no matter who they are, what they do," she said. "It's just manners."

After the tearful video, she returned to social media to lots of support and to give a calmer update.

"I am totally fine now. But was emotional in the moment because I felt uncomfortable and disrespected," she shared.

I mean, who can even blame her? Poor girl is a CHILD. Fans should really give her the space she needs.

The *Stranger Things* writers' Twitter account even appeared to show solidarity for their star by encouraging people to be kind.

Wise words. In this current climate, it's an uphill battle to get everyone on board, which is sad, but also very true.

But hey, stranger things have happened.

Some people on the internet are unfortunately saying that this is something she will just have to get used to because she is a celebrity, but thankfully, most people rallied behind her and supported the star.

Hopefully, people will learn to be kinder to celebrities and remember that at the end of the day, they are just people too.
