Prince William And Kate Middleton Mourn The Death Of Their Dog Lupo

Beloved pets are truly part of our families, no matter how silly it might sound to people who don't or haven't had pets in their lives. The loss of a pet is often felt very deeply just as the loss of any loved one.

The Royal Family has endured such a loss recently after Prince William and Kate Middleton's dog, Lupo, passed away.

Prince William and Kate Middleton had Lupo for nine years.

Lupo was a beautiful all-black cocker spaniel that had been a part of their family for almost a decade.

Tragically, Lupo passed away last weekend.

Will and Kate shared the news on their Instagram page.

“Very sadly last weekend our dear dog, Lupo, passed away. He has been at the heart of our family for the past nine years and we will miss him so much. - W & C,” they wrote alongside a shot of Lupo.

Kate's brother, James, also shared a post paying tribute to the beloved dog.

"Nothing can ever prepare you for the loss of a dog. For those who have never had a dog, it might be hard to understand the loss. However for those who have loved a dog know the truth: a dog is not just a pet; it is a member of the family, a best friend, a loyal companion, a teacher and a therapist," he wrote.

James' post continued.

"Rest in peace Lupo. Tilly & Mini will be waiting for you. You will always be remembered and your legacy will live on forever. Good Boy," he finished.

Our thoughts are with the entire family at this difficult time!
