Isaiah Washington Slams Katherine Heigl 13 Years After 'Grey’s Anatomy' Feud

I want us to all close our eyes and go back to a simpler time. The year is 2007. Everyone was layering camisoles under their tank tops under their polo shirts. Everyone was listening to Green Day and everyone was watching Grey's Anatomy.

2007 also meant that one of the most infamous feuds broke out amongst two stars from Grey's Anatomy and set shock waves across the Internet. Katherine Heigl and Isaiah Washington had a falling out felt around the world.

For a quick refresher, Katherine and Isaiah first had beef back in 2007 after Katherine called out Isaiah for allegedly using a homophobic slur towards fellow *Grey’s Anatomy* star, T.R. Knight.

The actor denied the claims at the time, saying: "No, I did not call T.R. a [expletive]. Never happened, never happened."

"There is no way I could do anything so vile, and so horrible, not only to a castmate but to a fellow human being," he concluded.

T.R. Knight would later confirm the allegations while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres show later that year.

"He referred to me as a [expletive]…Everyone heard it."

Now, 13 years after the initial feud, Isaiah is taking to Twitter to call out Katherine.

"This woman once proclaimed that I should ‘never’ be allowed to speak publicly again," the 57-year-old tweeted.

"The world agreed with her proclamation back then and protested for my job and my head in 65 languages. "

"I wish I was on Twitter in 2007, because I will NEVER stop exercising my free speech," he concluded.

E! News reports that a source close to Katherine told the publication she’s proud to have "stood up" for T.R. in 2007.

"Katherine stood up for her close friend twice when Isaiah publicly outed him and called him an [expletive]. That’s hate talk, not free speech," the source said.

"She is proud that she stood up for him. Katherine is and always will be an advocate and ally to the LGBTQ community."

Katherine has yet to publicly address the diss.
