Quotes For People Who Are Self-Confessed Shopaholics

I can admit it: I'm a shopaholic. Retail therapy is my favorite kind of therapy. I find joy in hitting "add to cart". I'm not happy unless my wallet is hurting and I have a closet full of clothes with the tags still on them.

I've been told on countless occasions that I should really stop shopping so much but you know what? I don't think I will. It brings me joy, and it helps me forget what a garbage heap of a year 2020 has been.

If you're also the kind of person who would much rather be at the mall right now, I think you're really going to enjoy these quotes.

Let's cure those Monday blues!

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday... Basically any day of the week can be made better with a quick trip to the mall and a few hours spent gleefully hopping from store to store, steadily losing track of how much money you're actually spending.

Don't try to tell me any different.

How do you think I got these biceps? By carrying armfuls of shopping bags from the mall to my car and then from my car inside my house.

And these leg muscles? Well, those are from walking around a mall for hours because I need to make sure I've hit absolutely every store before I leave, and then maybe hit each store again just to make sure I didn't miss any good sales.

A little bit louder now.

Seriously, while we're on the subject, I have a stunning amount of bags and shoes in my closet. I think it's safe to say I've reached a point where it's not even an obsession anymore — it's taken over my entire life.

But am I about to part with any of them? Not a chance.

Please.

I need someone to pull me aside while I'm filling my cart with random trinkets and give me a frank talking-to about the value of a dollar, and buying things I think I need versus things I actually need.

But until that happens, I'll just continue spending my paycheck on throw blankets and scented candles.
