Parents Share Clever Elf On The Shelf Ideas We Want To Try

Now that Halloween is over and American Thanksgiving is on its way you know what's next, right? Well, it looks like the Christmas season is pretty much upon us.

And with that comes the often-dreaded Elf on the Shelf tradition that most parents must partake in. So, if you're all out of ideas for this year, don't worry — I've got you covered.

What is more fitting for this year's Elf on the Shelf than putting the naughty elf in quarantine, huh?

After all, he's been traveling all the way from the North Pole so everyone needs to be safe, no? Ha, ha! This is a cute idea.

This little elf is so sweet he brought treats for all the kids with him.

Who wouldn't want to have their shot of milk with a side of a cookie? Sign me up, buttercup. That's the kind of elf I like.

Aren't elves always naughty? Well, this one is up to no good.

He's transformed himself into Spiderman and he's making a mess all over your house. Who's going to clean it all up, I'd like to know. It's not going to be me, that's for sure.

Isn't this the most creative elf you've ever seen?

If elves can bake cookies then I want them to visit my house. I don't want to say it again, but I'm not the best baker in the kitchen, and that's a fact.

Speaking of baking, this elf is definitely a master in the kitchen.

He whipped up a batch of the prettiest cupcakes I've ever seen. I gotta say they look so yummy I could definitely eat the whole box. I bet I'm not the only one.

Oh no, say it isn't so. And here I thought this elf was actually being nice.

I thought he was going out of his way to make lemonade but instead, he's being naughty again. Let's chalk it up to elf nature, I guess.

It looks to me like this elf is ready for his staycation.

It's pretty much the only kind of vacation you can actually do this year. So, blow up that pool floatie, and let's make the best of the situation. Shall we?

How can you ensure your elf arrives safely this year?

Well, you can put him in a quarantine jar and send him this way. He's pretty much ready for everything. He's got his bottle of Purell, his Lysol wipes, and of course, he's donning a mask too.

From the looks of this, he's ready to slay this sleigh, eh?

I really like the whole scene here. It's so cozy. I dunno if you would ever convince me to go outside again after seeing this. I think I'd rather stay by the fireplace.

Who's ready to "Pin the Nose"?

I bet all your kiddos will love to play this game with their Elf on the Shelf. Perhaps it will keep them occupied for a few hours while you get your house Christmas ready.

Here's another funny take on the whole quarantine situation.

Just blow up some balloons and make a cute quarantine box for your elf. He looks like he fits right in there, hee, hee. Perhaps he won't be so naughty this year after all.

Aww, aren't these elves so sweet? They made your kiddo breakfast.

This is the kind of treatment I can get fully behind. And on that note, can I get a side of breakfast like this, too? Ha, ha! You had me at bacon. That's all.

Now, these elves really know how to have fun in the snow. Am I right?

They built a snowman and their own winter wonderland. It looks to me like they are really taking the Christmas season to heart, ha, ha! And, why not? Elves love playing in the snow!

Do you want to build a (toilet paper) snowman?

The best thing about this idea is that it's so easy to recreate at home. Grab two rolls of toilet paper (if you can spare it), a marker, and a little bit of orange Play-Doh, and... you're all set! Hopefully, Olaf doesn't get too jealous.

Who doesn't love a bubble bath? Even elves do, apparently.

This bubble bath looks so relaxing, and delicious! Wouldn't it be fun if all bubble baths just involved sitting in a pile of marshmallows? I tell you, these elves are living the life.

I hope you love these creative Elf on the Shelf ideas.

I know it's hard to come up with something new every year. But why not have some real fun with these elves, huh? Which idea is your favorite one so far?
