Quotes For When You're Still Cuckoo For Cocoa Puffs

Full disclosure, but as soon as I saw the tweet that inspired this article, I immediately added Froot Loops to my grocery list for tomorrow.

Quite frankly, my kitchen is full of healthy veggies and proteins right now. I make a point of only buying one or two "treat" items each week, to help me make better choices in the long run.

But you know what all those healthy options have in common?

I'd have to cook them.

Or at the very least, turn them into a salad of some sort, and I do not have the energy for that kind of chore right now.

You know what I do have the energy for? Cereal.

Hell, there's no guarantee that I'll even bother with the milk portion of that "meal."

Consider it a win if I at least put a reasonable amount of those tasty sugar circles into a bowl.

Because I'm not too good to be eating cereal out of the box while watching *The Great British Baking Show* reruns.

Yes, my preference is sugary, children's cereals. Froot Loops, Cocoa Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, all the classics whose commercial jingles were etched into our brains back when Saturday morning cartoons were still a thing.

"Grown-up" cereals just don't carry the same satisfaction when eaten by the dry handful, am I right?
