Jennifer Aniston Urges People Not To Vote For Kanye West: 'It's Not Funny'

Jennifer Aniston is one of the many celebrities who is using her time and power on social media to urge people to do the right thing: vote.

She recently posted a heartfelt letter on Instagram to her followers about voting, and she made sure to finish it up with a warning.

And it all had to do with Kanye West.

Kanye West is known for being eccentric and for having polarizing opinions.

There was the time when he jumped on stage and hijacked Taylor Swift's acceptance speech, and who could forget when Kanye proclaimed to the world that slavery in the United States was a choice.

We all know very well that Kanye has been telling fans that he would be running for president in 2020.

That's right, Yeezus plans to walk his way right into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. He recently made an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience detailing his strategy.

While some people think it's funny, many, including Jennifer Aniston, are not quite as amused.

As if politics in the U.S. aren't complicated enough! Now it appears that Kanye is looking to throw yet another wrench into the machine.

You can understand why this didn't sit well with Jen.

Recently, she took to Instagram to express her concerns and frustrations.

She wrote a long and passionate letter to her fans on the app, wherein she spoke candidly about her feelings about Kanye's candidacy and the implications it has for the country as a whole.

Jen urged her fans not only to vote, but to take the time to truly think about who to vote for, and why they're voting.

Jen was trying to appeal to a sense of reason, to make her followers feel like their voice matters and that voting is a privilege.

She closed with a stark warning:

Do not vote for Kanye West.

It doesn't get much plainer than that. Jen isn't known for her political views or associations but she couldn't sit idly by and say nothing.

She decided to use her platform to make a genuine plea to her fanbase.

"This whole thing isn’t about one candidate or one single issue, it’s about the future of this country and of the world. Vote for equal human rights, for love, and for decency."

"It’s not funny to vote for Kanye. I don’t know how else to say it. Please be responsible," she finished.

Jen isn't alone. Several celebs have also begun urging fans to not vote for Kanye, including Octavia Spencer.

Octavia tweeted out her feelings shortly after Kanye announced his candidacy. Clearly, both she and Jen weren't impressed.

Octavia continued her thought, urging her fans that the time for change is now.

To say that Kanye West lives in a bubble is a gross understatement. Kanye West clearly lives on another planet, in a separate solar system.

Hopefully, more people will heed Jen's warning and take the election very seriously.

What do you think? Would you vote for Kanye West? Is this all some giant publicity stunt or is there more to it?
