Robin Williams' Son Zak Opens Up About Battle With Depression After His Dad's Death

Robin tragically died by suicide in 2014, and was survived by his wife, Susan, and his three children, Cody, Zelda and Zak.

While Zelda has been open about her experience grieving her father, Zak has just revealed in a new interview that he battled depression and anxiety during his own experience.

"I was deeply unhappy and feeling extremely isolated and broken," Zak explained.

"I was traumatized," Zak has revealed in a new interview. He also opened up about developing a drinking problem, but stated that "Ultimately, I found that if I continued living that way, it wasn't a life that was worth living. Something had to give."

"I'm thrilled to have a family and live the life that I always wanted to live,"

"I've learned I'm not broken. Despite experiencing traumatic events, I can recover. And I am now on a path of healing and being the person I always wanted to be."
