When a loved one passes away, there are many days that become dedicated to honoring their memory and impact. Their birthday is obviously a very emotional day for those who love them to remember them and celebrate their lives.
John Travolta is doing the same on the birthday of his late wife, Kelly Preston, and he shared this in an emotional Instagram post.
Kelly also appeared in What A Girl Wants, Twins, and The Cat In The Hat.
Kelly and her husband, actor John Travolta, married in 1991, and the couple had three children together: Benjamin, Ella, and Jett, who tragically passed away in 2009.
"It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many," John wrote on Instagram.
"Happy Birthday hon," John wrote, "I found this photo of my mom and dad‘s wedding. It was nice to see ours alongside theirs. All my love, John."
Fans took to the comments to share messages of love and support for John and the entire family.
"My thoughts are with you, John and your children as you celebrate and honour Kelly’s life. She was a true beacon of light, strength, gentleness and kindness," another wrote.
