The Rock Hits 200 Million Instagram Followers After Endorsing Joe Biden: 'Speak Your Truth'

The typically not political celeb Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took to Instagram last month to announce his endorsement of former Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris in the upcoming 2020 presidential election.

Now, the actor and WWE legend is thanking his fans after the 48-year-old surpassed 200 million Instagram followers on Thursday!

At the end of September, The Rock pulled an unprecedented move on his part by publicly supporting presidential nominee Joe Biden.

"I’ve got friends in all parties, but the one thing we can always agree on is the conversation and the dialogue, and where that conversation lands is always the most critical part,” he said in the seven-minute video clip.

"This is something that I've certainly not done in the past, so I'm gonna go big. You guys know me, if I go, I go big."

After facing backlash for making his political opinions known, the 48-year-old is now celebrating as he surpassed 200 MILLION Instagram followers!

The actor hit the milestone on Thursday, and shared a video explaining some of the biggest lessons he's learned from social media over the past few weeks.

"Here’s what I’ve learned these past few weeks and maybe, you can find value in this take away and apply it to your own life," he captioned the video.

"Always speak your truth. And when you do speak your truth - do your best to speak with dignity, compassion, respect, poise and empathy."

He continued: "Even when the conversations get uncomfortable - when you approach with respect and care - on the other side of discomfort - is clarity and progress."

"THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for giving me the space to speak my truth."

"You have my word, I’ll always do my best to speak my truth with dignity, respect, empathy and GRATITUDE," he concluded. "That’s my lesson I’ve learned."

I think we can all agree that there are few things more endearing, and more handsome, than The Rock staring into the camera and telling us to speak our truths!
