Chris Meloni's 'Law & Order' Spin-Off Series Has Been Delayed — Again

I'm so sorry, everyone. I truly hate to be the bearer of MORE bad news this year, but alas it is my job!!!!

Law & Order fans got the bad news back in August that Chris Meloni's spin-off series Law & Order: Organized Crime got pushed back until early 2021.

Now, it's been announced that the spin-off series has been FURTHER DELAYED!

While fans were told the series would be apart of the NBC ~fall~ schedule, "The Hollywood Reporter" is now reporting otherwise.

The news outlet reports that showrunner Matt Olmstead has left Law & Order: Organized Crime after facing challenges with the production process, thus leaving the show in limbo!

However, I supposed we shouldn't be too surprised as Chris literally told us back in July that the show hadn't even started filming yet!

Speaking with SiriusXM’s "The Jess Cagle Show" this past summer, the actor revealed that he had "yet to see a script" for the upcoming series, and that it was still up in the air as to when production would begin.

Eeep!

"THR" makes note that their sources indicate that that *Law & Order: Organized Crime* is still set to air sometime during the 2020-21 broadcast season, although it's unclear when.

NBC

Ah well, I guess it gives us something to look forward to in 2021??!!
