La Cité du Vin

Wine Theme Park In France Would Be A Perfect Bucket List Trip With The Girls

I don't know about you guys, but I've been dreaming of the perfect utopia where I can go to be wined and dined to my heart's content. Little did I know it exists, and P.S., it's fabulous.

So, grab a glass and a gaggle of your besties, because things are about to get saucy.

La Cité du Vin is like sitting on cloud wine.

La Cité du Vin

Welcome to La Cité du Vin, the city of wine, which is located in Bordeaux, one of France's most renowned wine regions. The theme park-meets-museum is entirely dedicated to the creation (and consumption) of wine, and is a literal paradise for oenophiles.

Sip, sip! Hooray!

This place is definitely worth celebrating, what with its 20 wine-themed exhibits, and 800 varieties of wine from 70 different countries. You can taste them all at La Cité du Vin's restaurant.

The only question is: how many friends are you planning on taking with you?

You had me at Merlot.

While this glitzy wine theme park doesn't have actual roller-coasters — thank goodness, because wine and rides, don't exactly mix — it does offer an immersive, simulated boat ride that shows what it's like to be a glamorous wine seller at sea. And yes, you can sip and glide.

Another glass? Wine not!

Even the building's architecture has visitors feeling a little tipsy with the twisted metal structure that's supposed to evoke wine swirling around a glass.

Step aside, Disneyland Paris, because La Cité du Vin certainly sounds like the happiest place on earth to me. Or at least the happiest place in France.
