Britney Spears’ Younger Sister Jamie Lynn Named Trustee Of Her Fortune

As you may have heard by now, pop princess and cultural icon Britney Spears has been in an ongoing legal battle with her father in regards to her conservatorship.

Unfortunately for Britney and for the supporters of the #FreeBritney movement on social media, the 38-year-olds conservatorship has been extended to Feb. 1st, 2021, People magazine reports.

Now, in a turn of legal events, Britney has named her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears as the trustee of her fortune.

The former Zoey 101 star will be responsible for ensuring her sister's fortune is transferred into a trust benefitting Britney’s children in the event of her death, this according to court documents obtained by ET on Tuesday.

The documents state that Jamie Lynn was appointed trustee of Britney’s trust back in 2018, with her appointment signed off by their father, Jamie, and Britney’s former co-conservator Andrew Wallet.

The trust was set up four years before her conservatorship started in 2008 to protect her fortune.

The documents state that upon Britney’s death, Jamie Lynn will receive "the entire principal of the Trust," and will ensure these assets and funds will be used for Britney’s two children, Sean and Jayden Federline.

The documents read: "The entire principal of the Trust… shall be promptly distributed by the Trustee to the trustee or co-trustees of the BJS Kids & Family Trust, to be held, administered and distributed in accordance with its terms."

We're happy Britney has family she can trust during this difficult time.
