Artist Reimagines What Iconic Women In Art And Pop Culture Would Look Like Today

Have you ever wondered what your favorite pop culture characters might look like in the real world? Or how subjects in famous historical paintings might dress and look today?

Whether you were actually wondering or not, Spanish artist Tatiana, better known by her Instagram handle @tatimoons, reimagined many pop culture and art figures in the 21st century world for our viewing pleasure.

This is what the *Mona Lisa* would look like if she were painted in 2020, according to Spanish digital artist @tatimoons.

She would have some trendy single line tats, a lower-cut top, some shimmery makeup, and filled-in brows that are possibly microbladed.

Tatiana also reimagined *Girl with a Pearl Earring,* swapping her yellow hair scarf with a high blonde pony.

Like her friend Mona Lisa, she sports some soft shimmery makeup, chiseled brows, fuller lips, and a nose piercing.

So edgy.

Along with her two famous art portrait adaptations, Tatiana also transforms an array of female pop culture cartoons into modern day women.

She's done a number of characters from popular Disney films and shows. like Lilo from Lilo and Stitch, as well as other recognizable cartoon characters, like Princess Bubblegum and Marceline form Adventure Time.

It's pretty neat to see how Tatiana envisions how these cartoon characters and art subjects would look in the ever-dynamic aesthetic world perpetuated and reinforced by the tastemakers of social media.
