Rebel Wilson's Personal Trainer Reveals Why Her 'Year Of Health' Has Been So Successful

2020 might be a write-off year for most of us (I don't know about you, but I'm subtracting 1 from my age on my birthday next year) but for Rebel Wilson it has definitely been singing a different tune. Rebel has been documenting her fitness journey this year on her Instagram and it's been genuinely super inspiring to see her progress!

Back in January, Rebel shared that 2020 was going to be her 'Year Of Health.'

"Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called 'The Year of Health”'- so I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had," she wrote.

"But I’m going to do it!"

"Who’s with me in making some positive changes this year?"

Clearly, she was serious, as she's been dedicated to a huge lifestyle change all year. One of her personal trainers, Jono Castano, has given an interview as to why her Year Of Health' is the right way to go about it.

"I think with any type of transformation, you shouldn't always look at the easiest option, you know, two months is not enough time to be able to change your body," Jono said.

"A transformation is never ending, the journey always continues, so you can never give yourself 10, 12 weeks. Because it just continues, once you reach your goal then what? Then you're going to stop?" he asked.

Jono said he "100 percent" agrees with Rebel's plan to make it a year long lifestyle change.

"You can't out-train a poor diet and you can't let the weekend derail your fitness goals. It's a key mistake that a lot of people make," he added.

We're hoping for nothing but success when it comes to Rebel's Year of Health — and ours too!
