Drew Barrymore Interviews Her 7-Year-Old Self: 'I've Been Waiting My Whole Life To Meet You'

I don't know about you, but I definitely wish I could have the opportunity to speak to my childhood self and let her know the general gist of what she should expect from her life. Clearly I'm not alone in that, as Drew Barrymore has taken the opportunity to have that dream realized via some creative video editing.

Drew Barrymore is an iconic actress.

Not only do we love her in Charlie's Angels and Santa Clarita Diet among her vast filmogrpahy, but we will be getting the chance to love her as a talk show host on her new show, The Drew Barrymore Show.

Drew's first promo for the show was very interesting.

Drew decided that her first "guest" would be herself! Using footage from her 1982 appearance on The Tonight Show Drew shared a video of herself interviewing... herself, age 7.

"Please welcome Drew Barrymore!" Drew begins the clip by saying.

"I've been waiting all my life to meet you," young Drew says, which is quite cute.

"It's been a wild ride — can you believe I have two daughters around your age?" 2020 Drew responds, to which younger Drew scrunches up her face and hilariously replies, "That's kinda scary."

"Want to hear about our new daytime show?" older Drew asks.

Drew then explains that her new talk show will be "celebrating life."

"I'm so excited I could scream. Wanna do it with me?" Drew asks her younger self, and then they both do just that.
