Netflix Announces 'The Witcher' Prequel Series Is In The Works

Good news, The Witcher fans! It seems the show we didn't even know we needed is coming to Netflix and I, for one, couldn't be more excited!

The streaming service has announced a Witcher prequel series is in the works! It's going to be live-action and set in a world 1000 years before Geralt and friends.

Obviously, if you clicked into this article you have amazing taste in TV shows and celebrity crushes.

I mean seriously, who other than Henry Cavill could sell us on that long, grey wig?!

Now, *Witcher* fans have even more reason to celebrate and feel superior as Netflix has announced the show is getting a PREQUEL series!

The show, titled The Witcher: Blood Origin will take place "1200 years before Geralt of Rivia, the worlds of monsters, men and elves merged into one, and the first Witcher came to be."

Them show will be a six part, live-action limited series with Declan de Barra acting as executive producer and showrunner.

Needless to say, this project is in great hands. I'm sure it's going to be just as awesome as the original Witcher!
