Relationships are always pretty complicated, even more so when you're a celebrity that's expected to have yours on display for millions of fans at all times.
Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith might be one of the most famous married couples in the world, which is why when musician August Alsina suggested he and Jada had had an affair, people were shocked.
Jada confirmed that the story told by musician August Alsina about their alleged affair was true, although she claimed that Will had not "given his blessing" like August had claimed as the two of them were separated at the time.
While Jada described the affair as an "entanglement," Will eventually pressed her into admitting it was a relationship.
August revealed he didn't understand why people took such an issue with the word entanglement, saying, "I don’t know why that word is such an issue. I would agree. If you look up the definition of 'entanglement,' it is a complex and difficult relationship. It was exactly that. I think it's just the language that probably stuck out to people."
August then revealed he had spoken out because he didn't want to be viewed as "this problematic guy who was super reckless, like I'm pushing up on someone's wife. I didn't really like that. I didn't like the sound of that, especially when it wasn't the truth."
"I love everybody. I love all of them. They've been my family, and there's a lot of history there," he clarified.
