Quotes For People Whose Hobbies Include Eating

I'll be honest, I'm always hungry. I just ate lunch not half an hour ago, and I'm already fantasizing about the snack I'm going to eat while I make dinner.

Suffice it to say, food is a pretty big part of my life. And I don't think there's any shame in admitting that. Food helps us live, and some of tastes pretty darn good.

So yes, I would enjoy a second helping. Thank you for asking.

I actually used to have a pretty bad relationship with food at one point in my life.

A year or so ago, I lost 50 pounds which is awesome, but then I became terrified of eating anything that some people might define as "bad" or "unhealthy".

So I actually went out of my way to avoid eating the kinds of foods that I believed would make me instantly gain back all 50 of those pounds, plus interest.

Which, let me tell you, is not fun and is also definitely not healthy.

It was really hard to admit to myself that I had a problem. In fact, I didn't even realize my conception of eating had changed so dramatically until I burst into tears when my mom bought me fish and chips, and I was too scared to even touch it.

Yeah, that was around the time it really dawned on me.

Since then, I've worked super hard to change my relationship with food.

It's not easy. After all, I'd spent so long convincing myself I couldn't eat certain things that suddenly allowing myself to "indulge", so to speak, felt impossible.

But thanks to the support from my family and friends, I gradually rediscovered my love for food. And oh boy, I'm so glad I did.

Nowadays, I do my best to listen to my body and give it what it wants, within reason of course.

Establishing that healthy connection between your brain and your stomach is crucial, but also oh-so-satisfying. And it's certainly changed my life for the better.

Now I'm proud to say that I've discovered a healthy, manageable relationship with all the good foods again. Which just might be the best relationship I've ever been in (please don't tell my boyfriend).

And now that I'm back to a good place, I would be more than happy to check out your car. Just so long as the side opens up and I can expect to be handed an order of fries, that is.
