There's a fan theory circulating around the internet that's pretty, well, disturbing.

Some theorists believe that Will is actually dead the whole time. While most fan theories don't have a leg to stand on, this one does. Here's some proof...
The series, which was on the air from 1990-1996, helped make Will Smith a household name.
It revolved around Smith moving from Philadelphia to his aunt and uncle’s mansion in Bel-Air after he got into a fight and his mom got scared.
And don't even get us started on the fashion!
It was so iconic that Will Smith even created a fashion line inspired by it in 2019.
This, of course, has to do with it becoming the subject of some pretty wild fan theories.
One of the most insane ones has to do with Will being dead the whole time...
But... not entirely impossible. You see, this fan theory has depth.
It all starts with the show's theme song. Catchy as it may be, it might give fans some clues.
This begs the question: what if this "little fight" was actually Will being killed?
This would mean that Bel-Air is actually the afterlife.
This would then mean that the cab driver is actually God. After all, the cab driver drives him right up to the pearly gates of the mansion in Bel-Air.
Luxury real estate is practically heaven to some people.
Just look at the house's perfect aesthetic. How could this not be heaven??
Plus, fans believe that when Will gets shot in one episode, this was actually him coming to terms with him getting shot in West Philly.
If that's the case, maybe The Lovely Bones got its idea about the In-Between place from this show?
While his parents do show up sometimes, it happens so sporadically that fans are adding that little detail to this insane theory.
This might explain why Will’s dad Lou shows up in the episode "Papa’s Got a Brand New Excuse" after a fourteen-year absence.
Maybe he finally heard about Will's death and finally showed up?

While Will's best friend was known to cause mischief, fans believe that he gets thrown out a lot because he was actually in the hospital, on the verge of death.
He makes short trips to the mansion (heaven) because he briefly dies and then leaves whenever he's resuscitated.
"It’s just, that’s so far-fetched you just laugh... To see someone take all of that stuff and almost create a whole world around it," Jeffery Townes who played Jazzy Jeff told the Huffington Post in 2015.
