'Fuller House's Last Season Finally Addressed Lori Loughlin's Absence

There is always behind-the-scenes drama when it comes to any television show or movie, but the drama surrounding the sequel to Full House on Netflix, Fuller House has definitely played out on a much larger scale as Lori Loughlin, the actress who plays Aunt Becky, has been tangled up in a legal scandal that has gripped the nation since it's discovery.

Lori was involved in the College Admissions Scandal.

Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were accused of spending over $500k to ensure that her daughters would have a spot reserved for them at the University of Southern California, a bribe which included leading the University to believe her daughters had been accepted on the basis of their rowing abilities.

Lori and her husband have since pled guilty to the charges.

“Under the plea agreements filed today, these defendants will serve prison terms reflecting their respective roles in a conspiracy to corrupt the college admissions process and which are consistent with prior sentences in this case," Attorney Andrew E. Lelling said in a press release.

Obviously, with her involvement in this case, Lori was not present for the filming of the final season of *Fuller House.*

The show finally addressed Lori's absence in an exchange between two characters.

"You don't think you should run this by Aunt Becky first?" D.J. asked Uncle Jesse regarding an incident involving their children.

"Becky is in Nebraska helping out her mother," Jesse replied. "I don't want to bother her with a tiny little thing like this."

It has been noted that this is very similar to the way Lori's character on *When Calls The Heart*.

“It’s been a week since Abigail got word that her mother had taken ill back East," another character on the Hallmark show revealed in an episode. "True to her nature, Abigail wasted no time in rushing off to care for her.”
