10+ Seasons Of Television That Were The Absolute Best

We are living in a golden era of TV. It seems like every day a new show is being released and viewers can't wait to get caught up in the latest craze.

In order to pay homage to some of the greats that came before, here are 10+ of the best seasons that television has to offer. Get ready to binge!

Season 4 of *Dexter*.

Showtime

The fourth season od Dexter introduced one of the most beloved/reviled characters of the entire series: The Trinity Killer!

Not only that but fans were reunited with FBI Special Agent Frank Lundy (albeit briefly). Who remembers this showdown between Dexter and Trinity?

Season 4 of *Breaking Bad*.

AMC

Right from the very beginning, the fourth season of Breaking Bad sets the tone for everything that is to come: shock, surprise, and blood. Lots and lots of blood.

This is the season where Walter White dies and Heisenberg completely takes over.

Season 4 of *The Sopranos*.

The Sopranos is truly the cream of the television crop. Every season, bar none, is incredible.

That said, the induction of Ralph Cifaretto into the Soprano crew is unquestionably one of the most memorable moments of the series. Joe Pantoliano absolutely shines.

Season 1 of *Homeland*.

Showtime

The first season of Homeland is one of the great television mystery thrillers. The ability to which the writers were able to convey such a sense of uncertainty surrounding Brody was remarkable.

Normally, I'm pretty good at sniffing out a story but even I was totally lost on this one.

Season 3 of *Entourage*.

HBO

An easy answer as to why the 3rd season of Entourage stands out above the rest is easy: it's the longest. Not only that, but the show was in its comedic prime.

Some of the best Ari rants of the series are in the 3rd season.

Season 8 of *South Park*.

Comedy Central

South Park does not even come close to getting the respect that it deserves. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, it is (and has been for years) the most pop-culturally relevant show on TV.

Season 8 is where we see dramatic improvements in plot development and a rise in animation quality.

Season 1 of *The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel*.

Amazon

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is the #1 reason why you should be watching Prime Video.

The show is a brilliantly funny classical comedy about a young woman who sets out to become a stand-up comedian in the lates 1950s.

Season 3 of *The Office*.

NBC

Do you even have to ask? Season 3 of The Office is when we're first introduced to the Nard Dog! Not only that but it's stacked with some of Jim's greatest pranks.

"Bears. Beets. Battlestar Gallactica."

Season 3 of *Parks And Recreation*.

I'm only going to say this one more time (probably): Parks and Rec is a better show than The Office. Season 3 introduced the world to Leslie's future husband, Ben Wyatt!

Let's not forget about Pawnee's eternal optimist, Chris Trager, either.

Season 4 of *Game Of Thrones*.

HBO

There's an argument to be made that seasons 3-5 of Game of Thrones are pretty-well perfect. That said, no moment was more shocking (and heartbreaking) than when Oberyn Martell met his demise against Gregor Clegane.

You can keep your 'Red Wedding'. I don't want it.

Season 1 of *Black Mirror*.

Netflix

Viewers beware: Black Mirror is not for the faint of heart. This show is a commentary on the dangers, implications, and infiltration technology has made in our lives.

You will cringe, and at times you might even be forced to look away.

Season 4 of *Schitt's Creek*.

CBC

Schitt's Creek is the television equivalent of The Little Engine That Could. It just kept chugging along, against all odds, until it finally wormed its way into hearts.

Watching David and Patrick's relationship in those early stages is a wonder to behold.

Season 1 of *Stranger Things*.

Netflix

Everything about Stranger Things was mindblowing: the music, cinematography, and most of all the incredible acting prowess shown by such a comparatively young cast.

The first season stands on its own as one of the greatest monster stories in recent TV history.

Season 5 of *Sons Of Anarchy*.

FX

In the fourth season of Sons of Anarchy, there is a noticeable shift. The story gets much bigger and the consequences of SAMCRO's actions much more severe and costly.

Fans will also remember it as the season that we lost Opie.

Season 7 of *The Simpsons*.

FOX

It is so incredibly difficult to pick out which of the many incredible seasons of The SImpsons is actually the best.

But if we're looking at it from a pure consistency standpoint, season 7 outshines them all.
