Hailey Baldwin Felt 'Like Less Of A Woman' When Fans Would Compare Her To Selena Gomez

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez may have broken up years ago, but some fans just can't let their relationship go.

This, of course, doesn't bode well for Hailey Baldwin, Justin's wife.

During a Facebook live video, the wife of Justin Beiber admitted to feeling "like less of a woman" when fans would compare her to Selena Gomez.

Selena Gomez has always been a sore subject for Hailey Baldwin.

She is, after all, her husband Justin Bieber's most famous ex AND the ex that fans still want to see him end up with.

When Selena released a song about Justin last year, all eyes were on Hailey and her reaction.

Unfortunately, it appeared that she gave in, as she released a cryptic message on social media soon after "Lose You to Love Me" dropped.

On Instagram stories, she posted a screenshot of the song "I'll Kill You" by Summer Walker.

Whether she was intending to take a jab at Selena or not, people did not like the cryptic nature of the post.

They soon came for the model on social media:

"IS IT A COINCIDENCE THAT @haileybieber POSTED THIS ON HER IG STORY JUST MOMENTS AFTER SELENA’S SONG DROPPED???? I DON’T THINK SO Thinking face js," someone else tweeted.

The swift backlash caused Hailey to respond in a since-deleted comment.

"Please stop with this nonsense…there is no ‘response,' this is complete BS," she wrote.

That appeared to be the end of the alleged Selena-Hailey drama.

Until now.

This time, it came up during a new episode of Hailey and Justin's Facebook Watch series, The Biebers on Watch.

While answering fan questions in a live video, one asked how Hailey manages having everyone feel like they have a say in her and Justin's relationship.

Hailey began by making it clear that "there's a lot" she could say about that.

"It's definitely not easy I’ve had a really, really hard go and a really hard time with a lot of the things people say," she said.

"And a lot of the ways that I feel like people have made comparisons and put me in a position where they’ve made me feel like less of a woman," she said.

She continued:

“It’s not easy when people have fans that are really passionate and want to express their opinion, and a lot of the time, it’s a lot of children and just young people who would never understand the reality of a relationship yet ’cause they’re so young, they haven’t experienced it yet.”

To help her cope with mean comments, she keeps things in perspective.

“When people have a lot to say or go out of their way to make people feel less than, it’s because they are going through something bad themselves.”

She went on to call their mean comments "ridiculous" and "not in reality."

"People think they know what happened in his relationships and they think they know what happened between us and our relationship and how we got here."

Justin agreed with the things his wife was saying.

He said that Hailey faces mean comments from naysayers on a "daily basis."

"How do you daily let that go, though?" he asked.

To this, Hailey said that she avoids reading comments and articles about their relationship.

"Not read things, not look into things, keep my comments off," she said.

"If you don't read what they say, you don't let your mind spiral."

Having good people around her has also helped.

At the end of the day, though, what matters most is that Hailey is happy with her husband.

“The reality is that we wake up next to each other happy every day. All y’all haters can keep trying, but we’re chilling.”
