10+ Times Movie Scenes Were Recreated In Other Movies

There's a theory that states there are only 7 basic plots in fiction. So I suppose it's only natural that over time we would begin to see some relapsing taking place.

Below are 10+ times that movie scenes were recreated in other movies.

Thus proving that sometimes the only way to see is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

1. The dance scenes

If you sync up the ending dance sequence from Sleeping Beauty with Belle and The Beast's from Beauty and the Beast, you can see that they are exactly the same.

2. Superman floating to earth.

Warner Bros. Pictures

In Man of Steel Henry Cavill falls back to earth from the upper stratosphere in the exact same manner as Brandon Routh in Superman Returns.

Both films have an abundance of Christian imagery as well.

3. Luke and Leia's rope swing inside the Death Star.

20th Century Fox

Who could forget that iconic rope swing scene from Star Wars?

If it looked a little familiar, you may have already seen it in The 7th Voyage of Sinbad.

4. Shaving

Sony Pictures Releasing

If you were watching Little Man thinking that it seemed oddly reminiscent of a Bugs Bunny cartoon - you were correct!

The shaving scene is just one example of many recreations that take place in the film.

5. Maid Marian's got the moves like Snow White.

Walt Disney Pictures

Dance choreography seems to be a popular mode of recreation for Disney.

Do they want us to notice Maid Marian and Snow White dancing the same way, or is it just laziness?

6. Jackie Chan pays homage to classic Hollywood cinema in *Project A*.

Miramax

Apparently, Jackie Chan is well known for recreating scenes from classic Hollywood films in his movies and roles. He's honored everyone from Harold Lloyd to Charlie Chaplin.

This scene was taken from Safety Last!.

7. Stallone pays respect to Jackie Chan's *Police Story*.

Warner Bros. Pictures

It all comes full circle.

The standoff scene in Tango & Cash was totally copied from Jackie Chan's Police Story.

8. David Carradine honors himself 26 years later.

Miramax

David Carradine first sat by the fire to play his wooden pipe in Circle of Iron.

He recreated the scene exactly when he starred in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Volume 2.

9. The code in *The Matrix*

Warner Bros. Pictures

As it turns out, The Wachowski brothers are huge anime fans.

The green code in The Matrix is just one of many things they 'borrowed' from Ghost in the Shell.

They also stole the Watermelon scene as well.

Warner Bros, Pictures

Remember that chase scene where the Agents are firing at Neo?

That's a shot-for-shot remake as well.

11. Squeaky clean bathtub scenes in *Requiem For A Dream*.

Artisan Entertainment

Darren Aronovsky is another closet anime junkie!

This bathtub scene from Requiem for a Dream was totally lifted from Perfect Blue.

12. Simon Pegg loves Jackie Chan.

Focus Features

Hollywood just can't seem to get enough of Jackie Chan.

The fight scene from Simon Pegg's The World's End is a clever homage to Drunken Master 2.

13. Sword fights of fury.

Miramax Films

Quentin Tarantino has an interesting history with Bruce Lee.

The fight scene from Kill Bill is precisely the same as Bruce Lee's in Fists of Fury.

14. Black gates and red slippers.

New Line Cinema

Remember the Black Gate scene from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring?

The one where Golem leads Sam and Frodo to the gates of Mordor? It's exactly the same as the final act in The Wizard of Oz.

15. The entire ending from *The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh*

Disney

This one is literally a shot-for-shot remake from The Jungle Book.

They simply just replace Mowgli with Christopher Robin.
