Demi Lovato Jokes That Rehab Prepared Her For Self-Isolation

While many of us are struggling to stay sane during these trying times, Demi Lovato recently revealed that she feels like going to rehab has played a role in preparing her for self-isolation during the current pandemic.

Needless to say, but the coronavirus pandemic has been difficult on most of us.

Even introverts are starting to go stir-crazy, and that speaks volumes about this situation.

I mean, at first I was optimistic about staying home 24/7. I thought it might be nice to catch up on chores, and creative hobbies that I'd been putting off.

It was fun for like, one day. Then I found myself eating non-stop and watching literally anything Netflix has to offer.

But some celebs are actually handling things quite well!

Like Kylie Jenner, for instance.

Last month she revealed on Instagram that her top-secret pregnancy of 2017 prepared her for quarantine.

“Another daily reminder to take this social distancing seriously and self-quarantine,” she wrote, revealing that she was over a week into quarantine.

"I’m on day eight," she said.

“My pregnancy prepared me for this. 😩," she went on.

"I didn’t leave the house for months.”

I totally respect that Kylie wanted to preserve her privacy during her pregnancy. But this just seems like more trouble than it was worth.

Anyways, Kylie isn't the only celeb that has inadvertently been trained to practice social distancing.

Demi Lovato also revealed that she felt prepared going into this.

She revealed on Jameela Jamil's podcast, *I weigh*, that her time in rehab following her 2018 overdose made her "used to" being in isolation.

Obviously, this isn't the most optimal way to prepare yourself for a pandemic — given the bleak circumstances that landed Demi in rehab in the first place. But hey, whatever works!

“I’m much more used to self-isolation," she said.

"But I’m also really used to it because I was joking with some friends that I met in treatment, I was like, ‘This just feels like rehab.’"

"You’re on lockdown at a facility," she explained.

"Which most of the time was like a house-looking place or they’ve got beds".

"Except in rehab, you don’t get TV or your phone," she added.

"So this is actually luxurious….You don’t get to go to the store whenever you want or Postmates whatever you want."

"So it’s just interesting," she said.

"I was like, ‘I’m glad that I’ve already pretty much done this a few times in my life.’”

On top of already being conditioned to self-isolate, Demi admitted that she actually prefers to stay at home anyway.

“I’m a homebody because I don’t love fame," she said.

"I love being able to reach a lot of people with my music and help them," she continued.

"And I love being able to use my platform for the greater good."

"But when it comes to paparazzi or getting recognized and things like that, that’s just not a part that I really enjoy."

"So I stay home anyway, I’m a homebody.”

Preach, sis.
