Rita's daughter also thanked her friends and family for all of their support during the illness.

Rita's daughter described the experience as "a terrifying and tearful 14 days".

"But with the strength she drew from each one of you supporting her in so many ways, she overcame any threat it may have posed! So thank you from all of us for the endless prayers, messages, phone calls [...] the serenading of her fav songs from far away and the amazing show of support given during her big motorcade! For the endless and faithful window visits daily and the loyal FaceTime calls to get her day off to a good start.....we thank you!"

I hope that Rita's story brought a bit of positivity into your life at this difficult time. It is so important to stay safe and practice social distancing to help keep those we love safe. In Rita's daughter's own words:

"Because all Covid-19 stories, unfortunately, don't have a happy ending like our Mom's story, I cannot stress enough the importance of following the rules, staying in your own bubble, and practicing social distancing! By doing so, you're not only protecting your own family members but everyone else as well!"
