5 Animals As Babies We've Bet You've Never Seen

Animals are pretty wonderful. I think we can all agree on that. Baby animals are next-level wonderful — they're like the most pure thing to exist in the world. Have you ever noticed, though, that there are certain animals that you haven't ever seen as babies?

Everyone loves kittens and puppies and small horses, but what about baby octopuses or peacocks?! I've never seen either of those as babies, have you?

I decided to go adventuring on the internet to gather a handful of pictures of baby animals I haven't really seen. I hope you haven't either so we can experience their glory together.

Let's take a look.

1. I usually like to save my favorite for last, but I just couldn't with this little guy.

This is a little baby warthog. To quote my inner Tumblr girl, I just can't. His tiny, soft body and little ears are almost too much for me. I would give this little guy the biggest hug and I would never let go because it would be the closest thing to real love I have ever experienced.

2. I wasn't sure what to expect with baby peacocks.

And while this isn't what I imagined, I'm not disappointed. I think I imagined them just as little peacocks with miniature colorful tails and bodies. But seeing them like this makes sense. They still look very majestic and wise, just a little extra fluffy.

3. OK. Wow. A baby dolphin.

He is so tiny that I can barely breathe. Tell me that you wouldn't squeal with absolute joy if you saw this tiny sweetie. For as large as dolphins get, I didn't expect the babies to be so small! I wonder how old he is and where his mother is!

4. Again, not what I pictured when you say baby flamingo.

It works for her, though. Look at her tiny wings! And the gray feathers really are lovely. There isn't anything quite like baby bird feathers. They're so soft and warm! I wonder if they can be even smaller than this or if this little sweetie is pretty freshly hatched.

5. So I saved my second-favorite until the end.

This octopus looks like a cartoon character! Is this real life?! The eyes are so big... the body, so small! What is there not to completely love and adore about this underwater treasure? Nothing! That's what.
