Jason Momoa Reveals How He's Coping With His Kids At Home: 'Thank God They Have Their Teachers'

On Wednesday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show: The Home Edition, Jason Momoa opened up about what it's like to be quarantined with his kids, Nakoa-Wolf, 11, Lola, 12, and his wife, Lisa Bonet.

Quarantine is hitting everybody differently. But I can only imagine that it is especially hitting those with children.

Having very little personal time and having to keep your kids entertained day in and day out with no end in sight must be taxing.

On the latest home edition episode of *The Ellen DeGeneres Show*, Jason Momoa opened up about what it's been like to be isolated with his two children.

Jason and his wife, Lisa Bonet, share two children, Nakoa-Wolf, 11, and Lola, 12.

He first explained some of the fun activities he and his family have access to at their home.

"We got skateboard ramps, and climbing walls," he said. "Throwing tomahawks, shooting bow and arrows."

He admitted that it's actually nice to be home for once. "It's nice being home," he said. "I'm never home."

"The kids are doing really well," he added.

"Everyone is kinda in virtual school," he explained.

He revealed that his son was already being home-schooled before the pandemic even started, so the transition didn't affect him much.

"My son, Wolf, was already being home-schooled anyway. So, it kind of was easy for him."

He also explained that his children have designated times that they can check in with their friends virtually.

"And then they have time to check in with their friends."

Overall, Jason's kids seem to be handling quarantine the way you'd expect most children to. They're enjoying just having the family all together.

"But uh, I think they're really loving it. They're loving having me home and we're having a great time."

He added that he thinks his family is handling it the same way most families are, one day at a time.

"We're just getting around like everybody else is."

He gave a special shout out to his children's teachers because he now realizes what a tough job it is.

"But thank god they have their teachers — much respect, 'cause I'm...," he said, gesturing that he's pretty much tapped out.

I can only imagine that juggling being a parent and a teacher on an around-the-clock basis is exhausting.

"They don't go to me for any — I'm like the PE coach," he joked.

"You know what I mean? Like, 'Get your [expletive] outside!'"

I'd give anything for Jason Momoa to be my PE coach.

"You wanna go rock climb, skateboard," he said. "But that's about it."

He added that he's not really a fan of exercising, and it's been causing him to gain weight during quarantine.

“I like doing the things I love to do. Right now I’ve been doing a lot of taking it easy on the eating," he said.

"Because I’m a big fan of food and I can’t really get all the things I like".

He added that he's trying to walk around more to get at least some physical activity.

"So I’ve been walking around and trying to thin out a bit. I’m getting a little heavy.”
